• I strongly endorse this project and recommend starting a surname project through Family Tree DNA & encourage people to take the 25 marker test. I am descended from Joseph Eggleston of Stonington, CT and have always wondered whether he was really the grandson of Bygod Eggleston. This conjecture has been made for well over a century, but I've never seen decent evidence of it. If several patriline descendants of the Stonington branch were tested, as well as several known decendants of Bygod, we should be able to determine the likelihood of kinship. Timothy E.
